Location: Lancashire / West Yorkshire / Shropshire

As Deputy Home Manager, your role will be to assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose and uphold the organisation’s mission statement and values. You will be required to deputise for the Home Manager in the event that they are on leave or otherwise absent from the home. 

You will also be responsible for supporting and managing the care team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people as well as undertaking direct work with children and young people as appropriate; ensuring each shift is planned and resources allocated; work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people; offer supervision and support to carers in line with Quality Standards & Regulations and as directed by the Home Manager; and promote MDT approach and engage/lead weekly MDT meetings with Clinical and Education services on site.

Essential minimum requirements for the role are:

  • NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)

  • At least one years’ relevant supervisory experience

  • 12 months experience working in a residential setting with young people with challenging behaviour, with a minimum of 6 months of these having been at a senior level

  • A full driving license
