Please bring your valid photo ID (such as a passport or driving licence) and any documents requested by our recruitment team. It’s also a good idea to bring a notebook and pen to take notes. We’ll provide everything else you need for the induction.

If you’re unsure what documents are required, feel free to contact your line manager or the Talent and Acquisition officer before your first day

We’re here to support your development every step of the way!

Note: Once passing probation enrolling to complete the NVQ is a requirement for the role.

Supervisions are regular one-to-one meetings between you and your line manager. They provide a confidential space to reflect on your practice, celebrate your achievements, discuss any challenges, and set goals for the future

We use daily handover notes, communication books, and team meetings to share important information and updates. Good communication is essential to ensure we provide consistent, safe, and high-quality care for the young people in our homes.

In addition to this, the organisation hosts regular staff engagement sessions where you can share your views, ask questions, and hear updates from across the company. We also issue a company newsletter to keep everyone informed about key news, achievements, and upcoming events.

Our homes operate on a rolling rota, which typically includes a mix of early, late, and sleep shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Your rota will be shared with you in advance, and your manager will explain how shift cover and requests work during your induction.

Every day is different, but routines are in place to provide structure for the young people. This includes mealtimes, school or education, activities, key work sessions, and downtime. As a staff member, your role is to support the young people throughout their day, encourage positive routines, and help manage any challenges that arise.

Yes, meals are provided free of charge while you are on shift. This helps ensure that you can stay focused, energised, and ready to support the young people in our care.

Absolutely. We are committed to supporting your career development. There are clear opportunities to progress within the organisation, whether that’s through taking on more responsibility, completing further qualifications, or moving into leadership roles. Your line manager will work with you to help identify your career goals and support your development every step of the way.

If you ever have a concern, whether it’s about a young person, a colleague, or something that doesn’t feel right, it’s important to speak up. You can raise concerns directly with your line manager, or HR.

We also have clear policies in place for reporting concerns, including safeguarding and whistleblowing procedures, which will be explained during your induction.

We are committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where concerns are taken seriously and dealt with appropriately. Your voice matters, and raising concerns helps keep both young people and staff safe.

Payslips are emailed to you the day before payday, and your salary is paid directly into your bank account on the last working day of the month
